Project Information: While the team at GRR Airport Security was great to work with, completing the sitework—especially the main storm sewer system and concrete apron—was challenging due to its location within the secure AOA (Airport Operations Area). All subcontractors and employees had to be badged, and the work required close coordination with Airport Security, Airport Engineering, TSA, and neighboring hangars to maintain AOA security barriers throughout construction. FCC phased the work to allow completion of the hangar structure and final AOA security barrier—including a 28'x100' hangar door, 10' security fencing, and gate—before finishing the sitework, all within the original preconstruction schedule.
