Project Information: FCC Construction was invited back to continue the facility growth at Extruded Aluminum Corporation. We have provided construction services for many additions in the past, but the scope of this 176,000 sf addition was a huge undertaking in pre-construction planning. Neighboring vacant land was procured, utilities investigated, incentives were sought, and a campus master plan needed to be developed for the business future. After design and pre-construction, we broke ground on a massive 10+ acre site project through the winter weather. FCC delivered a heavy manufacturing structure incorporating deep pits for extrusion equipment and bridge crane access throughout much of the manufacturing floor. This project scope included a new gas main running from miles away and a large underground fire suppression tank to feed fire pumps.
